Hi,
First of all welcome back to mutedaberrations. It has been long since we have come up with a new song but finally we are back in business with Blood for Money.
This song has been around for more than a year now in the making. We started this song around the republic day holidays in Jan 2009. Though we were able to finish the music with great pace, we never made it to lyrics and finally recording vocals. I had been out of Mumbai for an year and by the time I was back in position Equinox had moved on to the next phase of his life.
In my desperation to complete this beautiful piece of music which Equinox had come up with I turned to the Internet. I found this amazing site (www.kompoz.com) with musicians spread all over the world and collaborating over a simple yet powerful platform. Jamming, recording, experimenting, selling and basically having fun. This is like a godsend for all individual musicians who want to work with other musicians and maybe records some good music, give shape to their ideas.
I got in touch with Brooke F a.k.a 40 Mile Creek when he gave an idea of the vocals and the melody that could finally set in. Initially the song was penned as “The other friend” but later changed to what it is now.
Brooke has a real nice voice and you should listen to some of his stuff at kompoz.com/artist/40milecreek. He has justified this song very well and we hope to collaborate more in the future.
“As far as how i came up with he lyrics, I like the idea of someone who does his murder for hire job like it’s just an everyday thing. There’s no emotion, no reflection, he just knows that he has to wipe this guy out and he does it. The idea came to me listening to he intro music as it sets a mysterious ominous tone. ” - Brooke F
I am missing Equinox on this one cause he really wanted to finish it, but then all is well that ends well.
I am working on some more songs and there are more surprises in store. So keep listening and do visit us here.
We would like to hear from you about the song, the compositions, your ideas anything that you have to say which can help us grow as good musicians.
Thankyou
zZombie
